Brains!

Saya bermata panda. Ada bulatan hitam di sekeliling mata. Aih kalau comel cam panda takpe gak, ni dah macam walking meat dah haha. 

Anyway, I met with Derek Shepherd "McDreamy" today. Sape sape yang tengok Greys Anatomy tau la sape mamat hensem tu haha. Well, not exactly that Mcdreamy, I actually met one of the neurosurgeon in Universitatklinikum for Clinical Applications class. Walaupun hanya tidur 2 jam semalam, and kelas harini start pukul 8pg, saya berjaya focus dalam kelas petang McDreamy because he talked about awesome things. 

Insaf. He showed us images of CT, MRI and also DSA. Dalam kelas selalunya belajar theory, how they do reconstruction of those images but not interpretation of each image in real life.

Ada satu gambar, McDreamy said, "This is a really poor guy. If you can see his CT image, he got not only one tumor in his brain, but two! He probably live with those tumors for 15 years already and usually with this kind of tumor, you only got 7 to 8 months to live." Dalam CT tu nampak 2 regions in his skull that appear whiter. Satu tumor cam bergabung dengan brain and the other one, push the brain macam mkn space dalam skull. Brain dah tak center. Sedih.

Ada satu MRI image, tunjuk few stages of  pendarahan dalam otak. He said, this image belongs to a kid. GULP. He showed dekat dalam skull ada few layers of greyish color meaning few stages of pendarahan. Ada yang dah lama, ada yang fresh. and the class tersentap bila dia cakap, "This is the result of child abuse, an international problem". 

Ada yang accident and nampak ada gumpalan darah dalam kepala. For this case, we got no other choice except for taking a drill and drill his skull to let the blood out. Terbayang orang drill dinding sebab nak letak gambar. Hadeh. 

McDreamy sangat macho. Haha tiba tiba. Dia ingat semua benda dalam otak tu segala salur darah semua benda lah woo machonyaa. Teringat time belajar anatomy dulu, the hardest paper for me. Anything involving memorization is a pain yo!

Then he showed us segala medical technology yang ada in his department. Surgery images yang dia baru buat pagi tadi dan dia cakap semua org in his department is happy today because the surgery was a success. Satisfaction di dalam kerja, I can see that right through him. The way he talked about each case, the way he talked about a successful surgery and also the sound of his voice talking about fatal cases. 

Funny thing is, kitorang semua cam got so excited looking at how awesome catheter works etc. Geng perempuan macam ter"aww" bila dapat pegang stent. Macam perempuan dapat bunga, lelaki dapat kereta HAHA. No wonder lah amek Biomedical Engineering kot. 

Anyway, sepanjang kelas saya rasa sangat terkesan dengan kebesaran Allah, subhanAllah, and I cant thank Allah enough for being healthy, tu belum tambah segala benda lain. Often times we get distracted with afflictions that rarely strike, forgetting the countless blessings that always there. Manusia sungguh!

Okay bye, nak kena besarkan lagi mata panda saya. Haih thanks to Matlab for behaving so well. Huargh!!!
