Kak Yana!

Thanks Kak Yana for tagging me(indirectly make me think that you still remember me). She's like my big sis when I was in Maahad. We share the same dream but then I'm the one who "rebelled" unfortunately unable to commit. haha.

So here it is:

Hail Afiq and Hail Ariff. Simple and cute I think. My desktop is usually any of my fav picture with black as the background. Lame yeah I know but I dont really like anything else so far.

Slumdog Millionaire by Danny Boyle

Title: Slumdog Millionaire

Starring: Dev Patil as Jamal K. Malik
 Madhur Mittal as Salim
 Anil Kapoor as Prem Kumar
 Freida Pinto as Latika

Brilliant! Seriously damn brilliant! (Hihi unsur2 exegerate) I walked out from the Sarrat Cinema with a satisfaction that I can't pictured, well maybe because I dont expect the movie to turned out great. It is basically about an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai is one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who wants to be a Millionaire?". Brings me to reality I never could imagined, make myself filled with gratitude. Alhamdulillah! Wins 8 Academy Award, Jamal's destiny I guess.

But one thing that bugging me is when Jamal said,"If it wasn't for Ram or Allah, we'd still have a mother." He commented on how his dearest mom killed in a small war between Muslim and Hindus left him and his only brother all alone. As their names tell, they are both Muslim and in fact, Salim prayed and asked forgiveness from Allah at night before he gone wild during the day. He even keep on saying "God is great" before he died in a bath tub filled with money.

Allah SWT said in Kitabuhul-aziz:
Do men think that they will be left alone on saying "we believe" and that they will not be tested?" (29:2)
Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits(of your toil); but give glad tidings to those who patiently presevere. (2:155)
