Worldly Aspirations

I'm supposed to write my lab report right now ah tapi malasnya la oh. Haishh. Ok ni ayat yang saya suka gak, elaborated by bro. nouman time al-bayyinah.

[57:20] Know that this worldly life is no more than play and games, and boasting among you, and hoarding of money and children. It is like abundant rain that produces plants and pleases the disbelievers. But then the plants turn into useless hay, and are blown away by the wind. In the Hereafter there is either severe retribution, or forgiveness from GOD and approval. This worldly life is no more than a temporary illusion.

Ingat tak time kecik2 dlu suka betol kita ni main-main? sape jawab igt mmg tipu ah sbb takkn la kita igt time kecik2 dlu kita buat ape. Boo! tp ni cakap sbb tgk budak2 kecik skang la. Main je keje. then makin besar dah tak layan da main bodo2 ni. kita cari entertainment plak. TV, drama2 korea, jepun haa abes negara kita kutip. bayar beratus2 utk pegi concert tgk org nyanyi la ape la. da makin besar we search for benda lain plak. beautification. sume pon nak cantik. baju cantik, muka cantik, beg cantik, kasut cantik. kalo nak kuar rumah spuloh kali tgk cermin haha. ehh sape lah camtu kan. saya cakap je hik. kalo lalu tepi kete, ade je nak betolkan rambut yang cam artis korea la tudung la kat cermin kete tu kan. haha. Lepas tuu suka pulak la nak belagak sana sini. sedar atau tak sedar ada je kot yang buat hik. kan belagak tu boleh macam2 cara. cara cik kiah atau cik munah kat kg mungkin obvious tp skang da buat cara moden da. haha. as life goes on, da kawin and all, life cicles around money and kids. saya tak rasa lagi la bnda ni tapi ni orang2 tua yg da rasa yang ckp. bills and kids. anak sapa lagi pandai, mana nak cri duit nak bayar yuran skolah, etc. sampai la anak2 da besar, kita pon da tua. lepas tu apa? mungkin mula terhegeh2 pegi masjid. mungkin. Rugilah kita kalau hanya inilah life kita : play --> entertainment --> beautification --> mutually boasting --> money & children. 

SubhanAllah. Allah da tau da mmg manusia ni macam tu. Dia yang cipta kita so mestila tau kan kan. Bayangkan petani letak seeds dlm tanah dengan harapan tinggi gila yang seeds tu will grow. hujan dtg. pastu from seeds bnda tu grow jadi tumbuhan yg segar. petani tu sure hepi sgt kan. tapi instead of cut the crops the farmer just let them to turn yellow. and becomes dry and crumbles away. Eh tadik nak sgt kan the crops? tapi bila da dapat biar je? Eh eh..

Camni lah Allah umpamakan manusia dalam ayat 20 surah Al-Hadid. Everything will eventually turn yellow right? takkan tak penah rasa kot. Byk contoh boleh bagi ni. haha. Tp yang paling lawak Bro Nouman kasi is this, (hopefully it is not or will not happen in your marriage haha). Mula2 kawin, if the wife somehow trips time jalan, the husband will say something like,"Are you okay? The stone just shouldn't be there. U sure u okay?" but let see if it is three years after that, if the same thing happens, the husband might say, "U dont even know how to walk now? Blablabla". Hikk betoool ke taaak? Well remember? everything will just turn yellooow.

Later in the same ayah, Allah warned us about severe penalty (azab yang dasyat) for people yang melebihkan dunia. Forgiveness and His good pleasure for the devotees of Allah. Dunia ini hanyalah kesenangan bagi orang2 yang terpedaya, orang2 yang kejar bnda2 yang will turn yellow. 

eh ehh kejar tak salah tapi jangan lebihkan dunia dr akhirat. pandai2 la kalo da reti baca blog tu sure da besar ahaha. kira2 la sendiri, timbang2 la sendiri mana berat neraca dunia versus akhirat dlm life kita. sobs tahap dewa utk diri sendiri haihhh. remember, dunia di tangan tapi di hati akhirat and everything will turn yellow.

Tgk dua tiga atau empat kali pon okey. Oh what goes around comes around kan? Padan muka sbb smalam baru gelakkan Syikin. penat je ulang alik fgh - chaffin. tambah trip sbb salah tarikh. rosak reputasi juga dgn boss. penah ada reputasi ke?

nak tido lah 30 min (heh mcm boleh je) and doa2 smoga meeting lab lg an hour cancel. possible ke tak? haha. and yes berjaya setelah bertungkus lumus berhempas pulas tergolek2 utk siapkan take-home midterm. semoga gradenya beyond ok. ameen.

i'll update more on Bayyinah later, macam nak pecah otak ni sbb byk bnda nak share. ok post ni pointless padan muka sape suh baca hik.

notes - to lower wings

and spread over them humbly the wings of thy tenderness, and say: "O my Sustainer! Bestow Thy grace upon them, even as they cherished and reared me when I was a child!"

This ayah related to how an individual should act to his/her parents.

"khofda al-janah" - a flying bird lowers its wings to descend.

When does a bird lower its wings? when it is about to land, when it is on the ground, right? . Vice versa, bird raises its wings when it want to be up above. Allah wants us to act just like the birds towards our parents. Lower ourselves. Be on the ground even at that time maybe we can fly up high in the sky. Allah added on the verse the word "al-zull" means powerless. We're not only lowering ourselves but also acting to be powerless, even we have the power to just ignore them or do whatever nasty things to them(na'uzubiLlah). Then Allah added more with "min ar-rahmah". If we want Allah to have mercy on us, we must first have mercy to our parents.

Why does Allah use bird in this ayah? Have we ever seen how a bird protects its nest? spreading over its wing to protect its family? But in this ayah Allah wants the children to protect their parents. not the parents like what the bird did. Why? Look at the last portion of the ayah - "kama rabbayani saghira". How our parents being so merciful towards us when we always cry, being grumpy, throwing tantrum, or even peed on them; thats how we should be ready and able to devote for them. Reverse oh.

Tgk just one ayah boleh bagi makna yang sangat significant. This is only what i'd wrote in my notes and what i can recalled. Banyak lagik syeikh tu elaborate siap dengan rambling2 about parenting lagik haa. Kesimpulan, every word in Quran is purrr-fect! hik.

Note that when a baby was born, he/she will always look up. and what happen when we get older? our back bent downward. looking to the ground. to the place we will finally go. Ighfirly ya Allah!

Oi pegi buat take home la budak!

A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo?

The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.

#1 Hadith

A person came to the presence of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and said:

"O Prophet of Allah (SAWS), a person loves a pious man for his piety, yet himself does not emulate the good deeds of this pious man, how shall he be treated in the next world?"

The Prophet (SAWS) replied:

"It does not matter at all. Man shall find himself in the company of that person who he loves."

(Bukhari)
